Adapted from the 2007 comic book of the same name, Planet Hulk on Blu-ray gives life and motion to a series that captured the attention of Marvel fans around the world. This isn't your average Hulk story; it begins with the not-so-jolly green giant exiled from Earth by Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, and Dr. Strange. How does it fare on Blu-ray? Details inside... Weeds Season 5 on Blu-ray has done something I'm thoroughly impressed with: it has delivered an undeniably awesome TV-on-Blu-ray experience. Opting for gorgeous 1080p video and 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, it's one of the highest quality TV experiences I've ever enjoyed. Seeing a show so entertaining with this much attention to presentation detail puts other TV-to-Blu-ray sets to shame. Read more...

From Neveldine/Taylor (the twisted pair that brought you Crank) comes Gamer, the story of a man convicted of murder and forced to fight for his freedom as a puppet in the worlds largest online murder reality game. Starring Gerard Butler, Michael C. Hall, and Terry Crews, Gamer is an irreverent, schizophrenically fun action flick. It's even better on Blu-ray... Read more...

The problem with software... and movies and music for that matter.

by Exalted Expert / Community Ambassador on 12-15-2009 12:16 AM - last edited on 12-15-2009 12:16 AM

I love trying out new software, and I wish I could support software developers even more by purchasing their software, but lets face it, many of us are on a bit of a budget and the idea of dropping $300-$1500 on software makes us cringe. Even $50-$100 can seem like too much for some programs. And what's up with movies costing us $25-$30 a DVD, or many CDs costing close to $20? Do software developers, movie studios and music producers really want us to buy their products? Or are they making it too easy to look elsewhere for it? Read more...

Inglourious Basterds is a Tarantino flick through and through. Consider this both a warning and a recommendation. The 2-disc Steelbook™ Blu-ray edition (available exclusively from Future Shop in Canada) packs in more than just the movie - it's the definitive Basterds experience. Read more...

Svelte. Sexy. Samsung LED.

Yes, it's thin. Incredibly thin. It's amazing that Samsung has been able to pack so much technology into such a slim package. It's even more amazing that the overall quality of the display is equal to or greater than that of some its equally expensive and much thicker brethren. On top of stellar visual quality Samsung has stacked integrated DLNA networking and impressive internet features. The Samsung 7000 and 7100 series LED display has a whole lot going for it. Let's break it down. Read more...
