Your best bet for quality and simplicity is to purchase 3 HDMI cables and run them all into your TV (providing it has 3 inputs) using the in unit menu for switching. The length of those cables will be determined by how your system is set up, but more often then not, a 2 meter will suffice. One thing you will want to check before you head out to make your purchases is if your Explorer box is the 3250 or the 4250. The 4250 has an HDMI out and will perform without any handshake issues. The older, and some what obsolete 3250 has a DVI-D output that would work fine with a digital display with the same input. However, when linking the 3250 to a TV via an adapter, an issue with HDCP will come up and the signal will not transfer. Easy fix for all of this, (and if your tv only has 2 HDMI ins) is to simply use the component cables issued with the box. You won't have any signal degradation using that method. Alternatively, talk to a representative in your local Futureshop about booking an appointment with Connect Pro. They will come to your home, consult with you about the work that needs to be done, set up your system and teach you the ins and outs of all your components! Hope this helps!
