Want $10,000 to spend at Future Shop?  I thought so.  It's almost time to go back to school (sorry, didn't mean to rain on your parade), but don't worry, Future Shop is here to make sure you're prepared for classes.  It's contest time!

Hunt. Gather. WIN!! starts today (August 7, 2009), create an account at futureshop.ca/hunt and exchange the codes you find for credits online.  The person with the most credits at the end of the contest (September 10, 2009) wins!!  Weekly prizes will also be awarded through random draws.  So start scouring the Future Shop website, the newsletter, twitter, the flyer, in-store, facebook and even right here in the Community!  A new code will be posted daily by a moderator or myself on one of the boards, so check back often!

Set up your account at futureshop.ca/hunt and start prowling!   It's not going to be easy... you gotta earn those credits!

Cool The contest site suggests looking around here for more codes.  The one above is the same as in this weeks flyer, so I was just wondering if there are going to be unique codes here?  And if there are any specific places I should look? Thanks

I checked and the codes are the same from french and english. The code above is different from what was in the flyers.

Telanis, looks like I was wrong, but interestingly enough, I didn't get an error when entering the second one...

Regardless, there are now two other codes on the forums if want to look around.

You can easily search engine them and get up to 4800 points with ease.

People already posted lists of codes, that is why I don't like these kinds of contests.

The problem is going passed that 4800 like the people at the top.

That will require more effort and non-stop browsing.

Turtle will probably win the $10 000, good for him, but remember that ANYBODY can win the secondary prize (the tv), even if you have 100 points.

I have a problem, the code on this page and the one on the hompage says invalid code? is it expired?

Would have posted this on facebook to Darren and others but seems I need a celphone to validate. I really don't think that they have completely fixed the mess that was created yesterday morning. There is NO way that there are six in the flyer and problably other examples. The leaders are still winning with double credits for things. FS should just admit that everything got screwed and have a draw!

yah i've noticed that and it's not fair that while we have to look for codes, the leaders are getting to enter the codes they find twice. FS should try to do something about that!

They aren't hard to find.  Just scan the recent messages on the boards and they'll be posted there.

I'm having trouble with the code on page 3 of the flyer, near the Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard. Tried different variations but each time says invalid code. Anyone have any luck with it?

Hey all -

The issue of duplicate codes that was reported on Friday has been resolved.  Just checked in with the contest managers and rest assured that should anyone enter duplicate codes that they will be removed before the contest closes.  There's been a great response so far, so keep up the good hunt and good luck!!

aCodym, just check each board.  You'll see a new message posted that states that you've found a code.  Just to give you a hint so you know what sort of thing you're looking for, you can check out the Music board.

To give you all some extra information, in order to get your bonus points for referring a friend, make sure your friend enters your username exactly as it is, including capitalization (as an example, Krypto is not the same as krypto).  In addition, you can only get one set of referral bonus points every 7 days.  This means that if you got your first referral on August 11th, you will not be eligible for your next referral bonus until August 18th.

@gsire: you can get the login bonus (50 points) by logging in at least once every 7 days (for a max of 3 times).  So if you registered on Tuesday, then logged out and logged back in on the same day, you're eligible for a log in bonus on or after the next Tuesday.

Nope.  Latecomers have zero chance of catching up because early codes for thousands of points expired after the first week.  Basically any latecomer including friends and family you referred are screwed.   Sorry  Mom, blame the contest.
