Sony Experts are here!
It's that time of year again... and I'm not talking about hockey! Sony Days starts today and I'm happy to welcome a few new members to the Community who will be representing Sony and answering any questions you may have. You also have the chance to talk with a Sony Expert in person this weekend as Sony Demo Days kick off today across Canada - Click here to see your local store's schedule.
Or, if you want an answer from an expert now, ask Brent, Karol, Kyle or Guy! These guys are the experts, so sock it to them, here's a bit more about the Sony Expert Team:
Brent is the guy who can figure out how to hook up tech and get it working. In his role at Sony, he develops and delivers training in every media available; video, workshops and, occasionally, text. Like many home-grown Edmontonians Karol (pronounced Karl) Warminiec found himself bored when the Edmonton Oilers were not playing hockey. In a city that livesand breathes Oilers when the hockey season is done you have to be quite creative to keep occupied. At an early age Karol always found a way to wander into anyelectronics store to window shop and roam the aisles for hours at a time and when asked by a sales associate "Do you need any help?" He would reply, "Just looking." He was always searching and researching his next purchase and had to mow a lot of lawns and clean a lot of eaves troughs to save up to buy his next gadget.
Karol was known as the kid growing up that had every video game system, from the obscure systems like Turbo Graphics 16 to the Atari Jaguar and Panasonic 3DO to thecommon Nintendo 64, and his favourites all three Playstations. Today he still owns ten different consoles that rotate within his video rack at home on a regular basis.
Karol has settled into the role of the Blu-Ray/Home Theatre and VAIO expert at Sony. If you want to connect your notebook to your BRAVIA via DLNA to stream your photos, music and movies Karol is always around to help. His VAIO P Pocket PC is always with him keep him connected and he is always willing to talk tech to anyone who stopshim at his local Starbucks. You want to know what you're missing with BD-Live on your Blu-Ray discs, Karol can answer all your questions to ensure you get the best FullHD 1080 audio experience possible.
As the Senior Public Relations Specialist, Kyle Moffatt manages the public relations for PlayStation in Canada. He knows just about everything there is to know about each PlayStation system. A lifelong gamer, Kyle is known for his love of all video games and his trophy collecting on PlayStation 3.
Guy is the photo specialist guy. In his role at Sony, he develops and delivers training in every media available: video, workshops and text. With a primary responsibility for Digital Imaging, Guy loves to take pictures on the latest Sony ALPHA DSLR.
Guy can answer all kinds of questions about Sony.
