Get ready to throw some virtual elbows... Beat the Clock starts Monday September 14th!

Ready to have some fun and score a hot deal?  Beat the Clock runs daily starting at 9pm EST for 15 minutes - a new clue will be posted on either Facebook, Twitter, the website or right here in the community and that clue will lead you to a product that has had it's price dropped - we're talking $80 blu-rays people!  These are unadvertised prices, the only way to find them is through deciphering the code!

Find the clue, crack the code, and hustle through the purchase process - the discount will be applied in the cart and the product will be available in limited quantities (usually no more than 5) - it isn't secure until you've completed the process (adding to cart does not secure the product for you).  If you're among the first to do this, you'll find yourself staring at a deal so hot that you'll never see it this low again. But to get this price, you have to find it first!

So I hope you play along and take advantage of the lowest prices you'll ever find on our website!

Details here, and of course, remember to read the fine print :smileywink:

UPDATED: promotion now runs for 15 minutes.

I am an unhappy winner of this contest.  I has no idea there was a contest on.  It happened that the item that I was looking for was at a surprisingly low price.  I ordered it.  Later that night I got an e-mail saying the order was received.  A few hours later I got a second e-mail confirming that the order was successfully processed.  A few days later I looked up the status of my order online and it had been cancelled.  It said an e-mail was sent, which is true, but the e-mail said it was successful, not cancelled.

I had no idea there had been a contest with limited numbers until I came here.  I guess that means I won, lucky me, but in the end they just cancelled the "prize" without telling me.  This contest idea needs work, because all it is doing is making customers feel cheated.

Sorry that happened to you.  As a heads up, this isn't actually a contest... it's a promotion with limited quantities.  Not that this makes it any better, but I felt it was important to clarify the comment about it being a contest.

When is the apology going to be posted on an official Futureshop webpage instead of third-party sites?

Also, what kind of reparation is going to be involved for those who were affected?
