I am in total agreement with sustainable living while keeping our gadgets and doodadds. I do however agree with Regg that there could be a better solution to the "Lit up like a Christmas tree" effect that Future Shop tends to have. One suggestion would be to incorporate the same thing (competitor) has for there frozen goods isle. They have motion detectors that light up the section of the isle you are in.

One of the things that I have done is changed my entire website to have a black background as it uses less energy than a white background. I know there has been controversy over this discussion but I have talked with the experts at Energy Star to find out the real scoop. I was impressed with the help I received from Energy Star.

So kudos to Future Shop for any attempt at a greener future.

Sorry that happened to you. As a heads up, this isn't actually a contest... it's a promotion with limited quantities. Not that this makes it any better, but I felt it was important to clarify the comment about it being a contest.

I am an unhappy winner of this contest. I has no idea there was a contest on. It happened that the item that I was looking for was at a surprisingly low price. I ordered it. Later that night I got an e-mail saying the order was received. A few hours later I got a second e-mail confirming that the order was successfully processed. A few days later I looked up the status of my order online and it had been cancelled. It said an e-mail was sent, which is true, but the e-mail said it was successful, not cancelled.

I had no idea there had been a contest with limited numbers until I came here. I guess that means I won, lucky me, but in the end they just cancelled the "prize" without telling me. This contest idea needs work, because all it is doing is making customers feel cheated.

Nope. Latecomers have zero chance of catching up because early codes for thousands of points expired after the first week. Basically any latecomer including friends and family you referred are screwed. Sorry Mom, blame the contest.

@gsire: you can get the login bonus (50 points) by logging in at least once every 7 days (for a max of 3 times). So if you registered on Tuesday, then logged out and logged back in on the same day, you're eligible for a log in bonus on or after the next Tuesday.
