Another option is to run the Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft by yourself. You can find it for free HERE. It will let you know if your system meets the requirements to run Windows 7. If you meet the requirements, you will have to clean install Windows 7. Be sure to backup your files as this type of installation does not carry over your programs and important files.
